Guest Services Host
Welcome attendees, assist with seating, answer questions, and ensure every guest has an exceptional festival experience from arrival to curtain call.
Screening Room Coordinator
Manage screening room logistics, coordinate with projectionists, introduce films, facilitate Q&A sessions, and liaise between filmmakers and audiences.
Press & Media Liaison
Support accredited press and media professionals, manage press room operations, coordinate interviews, and assist with photography and video coverage.
Filmmaker Escort
Personally accompany visiting filmmakers to screenings, panels, and events. Be their point of contact throughout the festival and ensure their comfort.
Box Office & Ticketing
Handle ticket sales, will-call pickups, pass validation, and assist guests with scheduling. Requires comfort with point-of-sale systems and cash handling.
Social Media & Content
Capture real-time festival moments, create engaging content for Instagram, X, and TikTok, and help amplify the festival's voice to a global audience.
Venue & Logistics
Set up and break down event spaces, manage signage, coordinate transportation logistics, and ensure all venues are festival-ready before doors open.
Industry Events Host
Support industry panels, masterclasses, and networking events. Manage registration, assist speakers, and facilitate connections between industry professionals.

Frequently Asked
Not at all! We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds. Full training is provided before the festival begins. What matters most is your enthusiasm, reliability, and passion for documentary film.
Most roles require 6–10 hours per shift. You'll have scheduled breaks and off-shift time to attend screenings. We work hard to ensure a fair and manageable schedule for everyone.
We don't provide accommodation directly, but we maintain a list of partner hotels with discounted rates for volunteers. We also have a volunteer housing board where you can connect with locals offering spare rooms.
Yes! During your off-shift hours you have full access to all public screenings on a first-come, first-served basis. We also try to accommodate specific screening requests where possible.
All volunteers must be 18 years or older at the time of the festival. We do run a separate youth programme for 16–17 year olds — contact us for more information.
We review all applications after the closing date and notify successful applicants within 3–4 weeks. Due to the volume of applications, we're unable to provide individual feedback to unsuccessful applicants.
You can indicate a preference for multiple roles on your application. We'll do our best to match you with your top choice, and may occasionally ask if you're willing to assist in other areas during quieter periods.
Yes — you'll receive an official AmDocs volunteer jacket and t-shirt which must be worn during your shifts. Smart casual clothing and comfortable shoes are recommended underneath.
